The Technical University in Liberec (Czech: Technická univerzita v Liberci ) is a technical university in the Czech city ​​of Liberec (Reichenberg) with about 9700 students.

The history of the university goes back to the 1953 in Liberec University of Mechanical Engineering . In 1960 this was divided into two faculties (mechanical engineering and textile technology). Another four faculties were established between 1990 and 1995, and since January 1, 1995 the university has had its current name.

With the Zittau / Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Technical University of Wroclaw , the university participates in the Neisse University network and, with other universities, in the Zittau International University Institute . It is also a partner university of Ansbach University .
