The Gmina wiejska Terespol is a rural municipality in the powiat Biała Podlaska of the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland , the seat of the municipality is the village of Kobylany , until 2013 it was the eponymous city of Terespol , which does not belong to the Gmina. The Gmina has an area of 170.8 km² and 6721 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019).
geography
The rural municipality borders Belarus to the east and includes Terespol to the north, west and south. 14% of the municipality is forested, 73% is used for agriculture.
Administrative history
From 1975 to 1998 Gmina belonged to the Biała Podlaska Voivodeship .

The rural municipality of Terespol includes the following 25 school boards: Bohukały, Dobratycze-Kolonia, Kobylany , Koroszczyn, Kołpin-Ogrodniki, Krzyczew, Kukuryki, Kużawka, Lebiedziew, Lechuty Duże, Lechuty Maasewyzewz , Łaszicic, Duzły Mazłewze Małe, Michalków, Murawiec-Żuki, Neple, Podolanka, Polatycze, Samowicze, Starzynka and Zastawek.
Other localities are: Koroszczyn (colony), Kosomina, Lebiedziew (colony), Majątek, Michalków (colony), Morderowicze, Surowo, Wielkie Pole and Żuki.
