Teva is a brand of US shoe manufacturer Deckers Outdoor Corporation for Outdoor - shoes , especially (Sport) sandals .
history
The company was founded in 1982 as a one-man operation by Mark Thatcher , a geophysicist and rafting guide on the Colorado River . According to the marketing legend, Thatcher first looked for a solution to his own problem: constantly wet feet. He is said to have developed the original form of a practical sports sandal, which can also be used in and around the water without any problems and at the same time should offer a high level of walking comfort.

The term Teva is borrowed from Hebrew , where the word means "nature". As a company name, this designation is intended to symbolize the bond with nature.
Teva products are made of modern materials such as elastane , nylon , neoprene , Microban , Multi Density or Dual Density EVA , Spider or River Rubber etc. and are manufactured in China and Vietnam , among others .
