The Book of Vision is a film drama by Carlo Hintermann that will open the International Critics' Week of the Venice International Film Festival in September 2020 and celebrate its premiere here.

The film is the directorial debut for a feature film by Carlo Hintermann , who also wrote the script together with Marco Saura . Hintermann had previously directed several documentaries.

In October 2017, the cast with Charles Dance , who plays Johan Anmuth, was announced.

The shooting took place from mid-June to early December 2017 in the Belgian city of Brussels and in northern Italy's Trentino . Jörg Widmer acted as cameraman .

The film music was composed by Hanan Townshend , who also made the recording and worked with Errichetta Underground and Federico Pascucci for this. The soundtrack album with a total of 22 pieces of music is to be released by the Plaza Mayor Company as a download on September 1, 2020.

The first trailer was presented in July 2020. In September 2020, the film is to open the international critic week of the Venice International Film Festival and celebrate its premiere here.
