action
The doctor and former secret service employee Dr. Wesley McClaren lives with his daughter in the small town of Ennis , Montana, after he quits his service with the CIA. As a native of America, he attaches particular importance to naturopathy and also treats people who cannot actually afford medical care. But the small town idyll is clouded by Floyd Chisolm, who also lives there. Floyd is a nationwide wanted neo-Nazi and leader of a heavily armed militia group. He surrenders to the FBI, but first he and his troops release a deadly toxin stolen by the CIA. However, in the belief that you have already taken the antidote yourself.
Little by little, the whole city fell ill with the poison and the US government was putting the site under military quarantine. Disease experts and biochemists set up a provisional research station. Floyd now has to realize that the supposed antidote is ineffective. His followers forcibly release him from custody and bring the city under their control. A routine blood test reveals that McClaren's daughter appears immune to the virus. In order to be able to produce an effective antidote, they need large amounts of their blood, which, however, would mean their death.
The two then flee and McClaren desperately researches in his former laboratory for an antidote. By chance, he actually found the solution: the flowers of a simple plant that was already used as medicine by the natives.
criticism
“Once again, the untalented actor Steven Seagal takes on the role of the savior, who makes his powerful role completely unbearable with homeopathic doses of esoteric truisms. The bottom line is a commercially available brutal action film with countless fighting sequences. "
Rotten Tomatoes received 9 reviews, 8 of which were negative.
