action

Joshua McCord is a special agent on the secret mission of the US President and is looking for a successor as he is about to retire. His last assignment is to rescue the First Lady from the hands of terrorists in Rio de Janeiro . McCord parachutes onto the hotel roof and frees the president's wife. Then he escapes with her hanging on a paraglider from the hotel in the direction of the sea, where he drops the woman into the sea and agents immediately pull her out of the water and bring her to safety.

Meanwhile, the elite soldier Deke Slater is serving a seven-year sentence in the military prison. During a mission in Colombia, he had refused to give an order and hit his superiors in the face, but this also saved the lives of two comrades. One day there is a fight in prison that Slater wins. He fatally injured a fellow prisoner in self-defense with a knife and was sentenced again: 30 years in prison.

McCord is still looking for a successor and becomes aware of the elite soldier Slater through his daughter Que, also an agent on behalf of the President. He is released from prison and taken to McCord. From then on he went through a tough training under the instructions of McCord and his daughter. Soon after, Slater received his first assignment: to free the daughter of a governor from the hands of a sect . When he has gained access to the premises, he finds the girl. But she doesn't want to go without her friend. On the other hand, the other girl doesn't want to go. Slater has to make a decision - he knocks the other girl unconscious and wants to flee with them. But the sect leader and his followers oppose him. Joshua McCord suddenly appears and, with Slater's help, can lead the liberation to a success.

Because Slater failed miserably with his rescue operation, McCord doubts his abilities. Finally, he realizes that Slater learns quickly from his mistakes and gives him a new chance.

In Colombia, meanwhile, an illegal drug warehouse is being set up in the middle of the jungle. In addition, a scientist and his family are kidnapped. He is supposed to assemble warheads tipped with plutonium to be delivered to General Vinh Tran. Tran is believed to have killed McCord's Vietnamese wife. McCord and Slater are assigned to destroy the drug depot and free the scientist and his family. When the two arrive on site in the Colombian jungle, General Tran is about to execute one of the scientist's two daughters because the scientist could not finish the warheads in time. But Slater manages to kill the shooter first; and General Tran doesn't get away with his life either: McCord takes revenge for the murder of his wife by breaking his neck.

The drug depot will be destroyed and the scientist and his family can be brought to safety unharmed. Slater now enjoys full recognition from his predecessor McCord and is now part of the US President's secret service.
