He? Want! Don't you? ( The Rachel Papers ) is a British film comedy from the year 1989 . Damian Harris directed and wrote the screenplay based on the novel of the same name (German title Das Rachel-Tagebuch ) by Martin Amis . The main role was played by Dexter Fletcher .

Nineteen-year-old Charles Highway tells the audience his strategies for conquering the female sex. He is an intelligent man who is about to start college and he is looking for sex adventures. He lives under the same roof with his sister Jenny and her husband Norman. The new target of his desire is nineteen-year-old Rachel Noyce, who, however, already has DeForest as a boyfriend. At first she behaves negatively, then becomes approachable when Charles does not let up. You spend a time of passionate love. But the relationship becomes too restrictive for Charles, and he cheats on Rachel with his former girlfriend. Rachel finds out when he behaves suspiciously. She leaves him and flies to New York to become a model. Charles follows her to the airport, but can no longer catch up with her.
