history

The band was formed in 2004 and was most recently signed to Black Market Activities , a sub-label of Metal Blade Records .

The debut album The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza was released in 2005 by Corrosive Recordings . Shortly thereafter, the band signed a contract with Black Market Activities , where the band released their second album Danza II: Electric Boogaloo . The name is a parody of the album Danzig II: Lucifuge von Danzig and the film Breakin '2: Electric Boogaloo .

Afterwards the band toured together with bands like Cattle Decapitation , Arsonists Get All the Girls , Veil of Maya , Full Blown Chaos , Despised Icon , The Acacia Strain , Beneath the Massacre , Unearth , See You Next Tuesday , The Red Chord , Shai Hulud , Psyopus , Lye By Mistake , A Life Once Lost , Chelsea Grin and Emmure .

In 2010 the band released the third album Danza III: The Series of Unfortunate Events ; the fourth album Danza IIII: The Alpha - The Omega followed in 2012. In that year the band announced their separation.

The band last consisted of the three musicians Jessie Freeland ( vocals ), Josh Travis ( guitar , bass ) and Mike Bradley ( drums ).

Band name

The band name is based on the actor of the same name . This humorous band name is often misunderstood by older concertgoers who think that Tony Danza is performing in person.
