Thea Linhard-Böhm , nee Thea Linhard , also Thea Böhm (born February 13, 1903 in Munich , † October 20, 1981 in Hamburg ) was a German opera and concert singer ( soprano ).

Life

Linhard was a student of the soprano Maria Ivogün and made her debut at the Bamberg City Theater as early as 1920 . From 1921 to 1926 she appeared in the Bavarian State Opera in Munich , including the world premiere of the opera Don Gil from the green pants by Walter Braunfels . After her marriage to the conductor Karl Böhm in 1927, she only appeared in guest performances, for example in 1932 at the Salzburg Festival in Joseph Haydn's The Creation .

Her son Karlheinz Böhm (1928–2014) became a well-known actor.
