Theodor Hurtig

Theodor Hurtig (born December 17, 1897 in Königsberg , † September 4, 1977 in Greifswald ) was a German geographer , meteorologist and didactic specialist .

Life

The teacher's son passed his Abitur in 1917 in Königsberg, where he studied Romance languages, English, geography and geology (with Karl Erich Andrée ) up to a doctorate. phil. 1921 at Max Friederichsen about "Das Pregel - Deime Urstromtal". He also completed his legal clerkship in Königsberg and was appointed headmaster in Nordenburg in 1923 . From 1935 he was a lecturer in geography and methodology at the college for teacher training in Elbing , from 1941 to January 1945 at the teacher training college in Elbing.
