Theras is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Sigmundsherberg in the Horn district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 210 building areas with 74,160 m² and 189 gardens on 191,893 m² in the cadastral municipality of Theras , in 1989/1990 there were 211 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 286 and in 2009/2010 there were 308 buildings on 607 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 874 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 447 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 885 hectares and 442 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 850 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 453 hectares. The average soil climate number of Theras is 47.9 (as of 2010).
