Thierry Derocles is a French film editor .

Life

Thierry Derocles' first film editing work was Les neiges de Grenoble , a documentary about the 1968 Winter Olympics . In Philippe Labro's film drama Bonne Chance (1974) with Yves Montand , Derocles was first used in a major cinema production. This was followed by comedies such as Her with the Little English Women (1976) and The Boiled Eggs (1976) as well as the film drama The Indians Are Still Far (1977) with Isabelle Huppert .

For Alain Corneau's crime film Série noire with Patrick Dewaere , Derocles received a nomination for the César in the category Best Editing . However, he could not prevail against Reginald Beck . Derocles worked with director Corneau more often from then on, including for the gangster film Wahl der Waffen (1981) with Montand, Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu , the war film Fort Saganne (1984) and for the comedy Mit Staunen und Zittern (2003).
