Thomas Klaus Böttcher (born August 7, 1965 in Löbnitz ) is a German journalist , presenter and actor .

biography

Thomas Böttcher grew up in Delitzsch and attended the polytechnic high school "Otto Grotewohl" there from 1972 to 1982. During his training as an electrician at the Bitterfeld Chemical Combine , he performed as a DJ and with his own breakdance group at youth dance events. From 1985 he was the director of the Delitzsch-Ost youth club, where he also appeared as a resident DJ .

With the start of broadcasting on July 1, 1992, he worked as a presenter at the first Saxon private radio, Radio PSR, and six months later he began his 25-year career in the morning show . In 1995, from October, he presented together with Uwe Fischer as a duo under the title "Böttcher & Fischer" the daily morning show with the addition "the two from six to nine". In 1998 he and Uwe Fischer moved to Antenne Sachsen (now Hitradio RTL Sachsen ) as Böttcher & Fischer . In 2000 there was a falling out between Böttcher and Fischer and after their reconciliation in 2002 both entered the stage together again, including in the play "Der Wetterhahn" in the Radeberger Biertheater , which premiered in 2002 for the first time. In 2017 he appeared for the first time with a solo program "Better radioactive than active on the radio" in Saxony and in 2019 with his new show "Blasenfrei Zapfen".

In 2018, Thomas Böttcher began his collaboration with Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) and is among other things active in the program “Voss und Team” with the rubric “Böttcher asks for” and “Böttcher flies there”. He has also been involved in his report “Böttcher creates that!” (MDR) since 2018 and in 2019 also had a guest appearance on the TV talk show “Bauerfeind - the show for women” on ARD -One and MDR.

Furthermore, Thomas Böttcher writes his weekly column every Friday for the Dresdner Morgenpost - the "Bölumne".

Böttcher has two children from his first marriage, has been married for a second time since 2006 and has lived in Döbeln since 2004 .
