Thomas Francis Cusack (born February 22, 1862 in New York City , USA , † July 12, 1918 in Albany ) was Bishop of Albany .

Life

Thomas Francis Cusack attended St. Francis Xavier's College . Cusack then studied philosophy and Catholic theology at St. Joseph's Seminary in Troy . He received on May 30, 1885 sacrament of Holy Orders .

Subsequently, Cusack was curate of St. Teresa's Church . In 1890 he became pastor of St. Peter's Parish in Rosendale . Thomas Francis Cusack became superior of the Archbishop's Mission Society in 1897 . During the Spanish-American War he was a military chaplain in Chickamauga , Georgia .

On March 11, 1904 appointed him Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Themiscyra and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York , John Murphy Farley , ordained him episcopal on April 25 of the same year at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Buffalo , Charles Henry Colton , and the Bishop of Trenton , James Augustine McFaul . In addition, Thomas Francis Cusack was pastor of the parish of St. Stephen from 1904 to 1915 .

On July 5, 1915, Pope Benedict XV appointed him . to the Bishop of Albany.
