Thomas Götz (born June 9, 1985 in Bad Muskau , GDR ) is a former German ice hockey player who was active in the 2nd Bundesliga and DEL2 with the Lausitzer Füchsen between 2005 and 2018 . His sister Susann is a former German national ice hockey player.
Career
Thomas Götz began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of ES Weißwasser , for which he was active in the German youth league from 2000 to 2003 . The attacker then played for ELV Niesky in the fourth-class regional league for two years . For the 2005/06 season he returned to his home club, for whose professional team Lausitzer Füchse he has since played regularly in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 2010/11 season he was assistant captain at the Füchsen.
In addition to ice hockey, he works as an electrician at the Boxberg power plant .
In 2018 he ended his career.
