Thomas Peter Friedl (born January 3, 1967 in Munich ) is a German film producer and media entrepreneur.

Life

Thomas Peter Friedl studied architecture and urban planning at the Munich University of Applied Sciences until 1989 .

His professional career began in September 1989 as assistant to the managing director of Classic Media GmbH, a subsidiary of Constantin Film AG. In 1992 he became the sole managing director of Classic Media GmbH.

In 1994 Friedl took over the development and strategic management of Constantin Film's cinema activities. In addition to managing all marketing activities of the Constantin Film Group, Friedl also took on responsibility for the national and international distribution business of Constantin Film in 1996 as Executive Director Distribution & Marketing . In the course of Constantin Film AG's IPO, Friedl was then a member of the Management Board (distribution, marketing and central services) responsible for the entire national and international distribution and marketing area of ​​Constantin Film AG from 1999. In 1999, together with Bernd Eichinger and other artists, he launched Artists for Kids - a project for creative youth welfare and was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the initiative until Eichinger's death in January 2011. Friedl has headed the Supervisory Board of Artists for Kids since 2011 .
