Thomas Strittmatter Screenplay Award
The Thomas Strittmatter Screenplay Prize , also known as the Thomas Strittmatter Prize , is a prize for screenwriters sponsored by the MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg . The aim is to support Baden-Württemberg authors and to strengthen the state as a venue for major feature films and productions. The prize is currently endowed with 20,000 euros and is to be used for the development of a new script; nominated participants will also receive prize money of 2,500 euros. The award ceremony will take place in the vicinity of the Berlinale .
Scripts for full-length feature films that have not yet been filmed can be submitted in German. A reference to Baden-Württemberg must be given either through the author's place of residence or the place of the action.
