Thorsten Tönnies (born March 13, 1991 in Lohne ) is a German soccer player who has been under contract with SSV Jeddeloh since 2018 .
Career
societies
Tönnies started in the youth of his home club Blau-Weiß Lohne and played there until 2007. At the age of 16, he moved to the junior division of Werder Bremen and ran for the B-Juniors in the U-17 Bundesliga in the 2007/08 season on. He came on 22 missions in which he scored six hits
In the following two seasons he was active for the Bremen U-19 team in the U-19 Bundesliga and was used in a total of 52 games in which he scored a goal. In the 2008/09 season , the Bremen team won the North / Northeast relay, but then failed in the semifinals at the eventual German champions 1. FSV Mainz 05 .
In the course of the 2009/10 season he was in the games against FC Carl Zeiss Jena and VfB Stuttgart II in September and October 2009 in the squad of the Bremen U-23 team, but initially did not play in the 3rd division . For the 2010/11 season he moved up firmly to the second team. He made his professional debut on August 21, 2010 (5th matchday) in the 2-0 defeat by Hansa Rostock , when he came on for Lennart Thy in the 82nd minute .
This was his only use in the 3rd division and he then left the club at the end of the season. For the 2011/12 season he moved to the fifth-class Oberliga Niedersachsen for BSV Rehden , with whom he signed a one-year contract and with which he rose to the Regionalliga Nord. In the summer of 2012, his move to the regional league competitor VfB Oldenburg became known. With VfB he reached 3rd place in the 2013/14 season and 2nd place in the regional league table in the 2015/16 season . For the 2018/2019 season, the midfielder moved to league rivals SSV Jeddeloh II.
National team
On May 27, 2009 he made his debut in a 3: 3 against Portugal in the jersey of the German U-18 national team . At an international tournament in Lisbon , for which he was nominated, he came in addition to his debut to other appearances against the USA and Finland.
On September 7, 2009, in the 1-0 win over Belgium, he played for the U-19 national team for the first time .
