Although the club comes from the Jeddeloh II district, the first team at the DFB is run as SSV Jeddeloh and the second team as SSV Jeddeloh II .
history
The club was founded on June 15, 1951 as a pure football club. Later the parent-child gymnastics , women's gymnastics , Jakkolo , Pilates , back school , table tennis , volleyball and Zumba departments were added. According to its own information, the association with its 700 members is one of the largest in the Ammerland.
For decades, the first team played at the district level, before being promoted to the district class for the first time in 1991. Four years later it went back to the district league and in the following season 1995/96 down to the 1st district class Ammerland. The direct resurgence succeeded, however, the Jeddeloher had to relegate to the 1st district class again in 1999. In the early 2000s, Jeddeloh-born meat manufacturer Rolf Bley attended a game of SSV Jeddeloh and decided to get involved in the club and make it the best club in the Ammerland. In addition to financial donations, Bley provided the players with jobs on site or in his company. The club relied on players from the region who missed the leap into professional football.
It was not until 2002 that he was promoted to the district league, before two years later, under coach Olaf Blancke, he was promoted to the district class. In 2006 the first promotion to the district league succeeded. The Jeddelohern managed to march through to the Weser / Ems regional league straight away . They remained undefeated in the 2006/07 season. After relegation in 2008, he immediately returned to the regional league , which was renamed the Landesliga Weser / Ems in 2010 . After the Jeddeloher were runner-up behind SV Holthausen / Biene in the 2010/11 season , they were promoted to the Lower Saxony Oberliga a year later. In the 2014/15 season , SSV Jeddeloh secured the autumn championship , but waived a license application for the Regionalliga Nord . The reason for the waiver was the “incalculable financial risk” of promotion to the regional league.
Two years later , SSV Jeddeloh secured the championship early and this time they were promoted to the Regionalliga Nord . In the 2017/18 season , the team went into the winter break in fourth place. The highlight of the season was the derby against VfB Oldenburg in front of 2,000 spectators who saw Jeddeloh win 2-0. With a 7: 6 victory after penalty shootout against SV Arminia Hannover , the Jeddeloher moved into the final of the Lower Saxony Cup, where the team met SV Drochtersen / Assel on May 21, 2018 and had no chance with 1: 5. Nevertheless, the club qualified for the DFB Cup for the first time by reaching the finals . The game of the 1st main round against 1. FC Heidenheim was lost 2: 5.
