Tiffani Beatriz Silva Marinho (born May 6, 1999 ) is a Brazilian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Tiffani Marinho gained her first experience at international championships in 2016 at the U18 South American Championships in Concordia , where she won the gold medal in 54.90 seconds. She also won the gold medal in the sprint relay (1000 meters) in 3: 30.12 minutes. She then took part with the Brazilian 4 x 400 meter relay at the U23 South American Championships in Lima , where she won the silver medal in 3: 47.14 minutes. The following year she won the U20 South American Championships in Leonora in 54.25 s. In 2018 she reached the semi-finals at the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where she was eliminated with 53.30 seconds. With the 4 x 100 meter relay she was eliminated with 45.28 seconds and with the 4 x 400 meter relay she finished eighth in the final with 3: 34.55 minutes. She then won the silver medal over 400 meters at the U23 South American Championships in Cuenca in 52.95 seconds and also won silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 42.38 minutes. At the 2019 South American Athletics Championships in Lima, she won over 400 meters in 52.81 s and won the silver medal behind the team from Colombia in 3: 35.29 min. Before that, she finished sixth in the mixed relay at the World Relays in Yokohama in 3: 20.71 minutes. She also qualified for the first time for the World Championships in Doha , where she was eliminated with 51.96 s in the lead . In the mixed season she made it to the finals and was eighth there in 3: 16.22 minutes. In 2020 she also won the gold medal in 53.34 seconds at the South American Indoor Championships in Cochabamba, which was held for the first time .
