Tilly-la-Campagne is a village and a former French commune of 215 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Évrecy .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Rocquancourt , Hubert-Folie and Tilly-la-Campagne were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Castine-en-Plaine and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Rocquancourt.

Tilly-la-Campagne is about nine kilometers south-southeast of Caen . Tilly-la-Campagne is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Hubert-Folie in the north and north-west, Bourguébus in the north and east, Le Castelet with Garcelles-Secqueville in the south and south-east, Rocquancourt in the south and south-west and Saint-Martin-de-Fontenay in the west .
history
During the Battle (s) of Caen in 1944, the Canadian troops tried to conquer the high plateau as part of Operation Spring. Although Tilly-la-Campagne succeeded in conquering, the Canadians nevertheless suffered considerable losses.
