Tim Danneberg (born April 23, 1986 in Minden ) is a former German soccer player and current soccer coach . He is part of the VfL Osnabrück coaching team .

Career

As a player

After playing at Union Minden in his youth , the defensive midfielder , who came from the East Westphalian North Hemmer , moved to Arminia Bielefeld's A-youth team in 2000 . At Arminia, Danneberg made it into the second men's team in the 2004/05 season , which played in the Regionalliga Nord . After the descent of the amateurs, Danneberg was used in the Bundesliga team of Arminia Bielefeld, for which, however, he hardly made any appearances and after two years had to show seven appearances.

In the 2007/08 season he was loaned to Eintracht Braunschweig for a year and was used in 31 point games and one cup game. In June 2008 he terminated his contract with Arminia Bielefeld, which ran until 2009, and signed a two-year contract with Eintracht Braunschweig. In both seasons he was a regular in the central midfield of Eintracht, which had qualified for the 3rd division . For the 2010/11 season Danneberg moved within the league to SV Sandhausen . There too he had a regular seat. In his second year he reached the league championship with the team and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2013/14 season he committed third division promoted Holstein Kiel , with whom he signed a two-year contract. In summer 2014, shortly before the end of the transfer period within the 3rd division, he moved to Chemnitzer FC and left at the end of the 2016/17 season for family reasons.

For the season 2017/18 to Dannenberg joined the VfL Osnabruck on; where he received a contract valid until June 2019 and was a regular player from the start of the season. On the 11th matchday of the 2017/18 season, he became the only record player in the 3rd division with his 279th appearance, leaving Alf Mintzel behind. With the Lower Saxony, the midfielder rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2019 , but his expiring contract as a player was not extended. He then ended his career as a football player and was still at the top of the record holder list with 332 third division games.

As a trainer

For the 2019/20 season , Danneberg joined the functional team of his previous employer VfL Osnabrück and took over the position of second co-trainer of the professional team under Daniel Thioune .
