Time, The Valuator is a corporation founded in 2015 progressive metal - band from the Ruhr .

history

Time, The Valuator was originally a project by singer Phil Bayer, who was able to win over guitarist Rene Möllenbeck as support. Yunus Proch then joined the band as drummer and bassist Christoph Jordan, who left the band in 2017 and was temporarily replaced by Felix Jekubzik. The lineup was supplemented by guitarist Justin Schaffranek. Jekubzik and Schaffranek left the project after the release of the single When I Meet Death . The post on bass remained vacant for the time being. Cedric Dreyszas took over the second guitar in 2017. After the band attracted attention on the Youtube channel Dreambound with the self-produced single Elusive Reasons , the debut album How Fleeting, How Fragile was released in 2018 via the German music label Long Branch Records (including The Hirsch Effekt , Uneven Structure , Agent Fresco ), which is part of SPV and Famined Records in America, which is affiliated with Victory Records . Guest vocalists include Matt Gelsomino from the French band Novelists and Nico Schiesewitz from Breathe Atlantis . The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Christof Kempe from Embark Audio. In September 2018 singer Phil Bayer left the band for personal reasons shortly before the performance at the Euroblast Festival and the replacement singer Rafael Andronic was officially announced as the new singer of the band in 2019. The line-up was also supplemented by the new bassist Ryan Voosen, who already appeared as bassist for the band Reptil on the German offshoot of the British casting show The X Factor .

In 2018 the band toured English, French and German clubs and played at European festivals, including the Swedish High 5ive Summer Fest in Södertälje in 2018 , the German Vacuum Fest, the British UK Tech Fest, the Dutch Submit Fest in Rotterdam and in the same year at the Fallen Fortress in Bad Dürkheim, Germany.

In June 2019 the band released the first single, Vibrant , in which Rafael Andronic took over the vocal parts. In December of the same year, the band released the Billie Eilish cover Lovely together with the singer Charlotte Buchholz, who had previously worked with novelists , including a music video.

Time, The Valuator have already played on stages with Imminence , Hacktivist , Rise of the Northstar , For the Fallen Dreams , The Hirsch Effekt , Leprous , Monuments and Vildhjarta .

style

Musically, Time, The Valuator are mostly assigned to Progressive Metalcore, Djent and Post-Hardcore. In addition, the band's sound is characterized by the use of synthesizers as well as piano passages and groove elements and the "obvious catchy melodies combined with a very progressive atmosphere" - says Michael Milkowski from MoreCore.de. Similar sounding bands that are attached as a comparison are e.g. B. Erra , TesseracT or Kadinja . The genre-typical sound is defined by the seven-string guitars and the six-string bass.
