Timothy Carlton Congdon Cumberbatch (born October 4, 1939 in Reading , Berkshire , England ) is a British actor .

Life

Carlton is the son of naval officer Henry Carlton Cumberbatch (1900-1966) and grandson of diplomat Henry Arnold Cumberbatch . He began his career in 1966 with guest appearances on the television series The World of Wooster , Theater 625 and Talking to a Stranger . From 1968 he was a busy television actor with episode roles in numerous series formats. The formats also known in Germany included Die Profis and Jim Bergerac determined .
