Timothy Jerome

Timothy Jerome (born December 29, 1943 in Los Angeles ) is an American actor .

Life

The actor, who has been active in the theater since the mid-1960s, received his first film role in the comedy Getting Wasted from 1980. In 1987 he was nominated for the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for his role in the musical Me and My Girl . From 1982 to 2000 he was part of the ensemble of the musical Cats .

In the gangster drama Billy Bathgate (1991) Jerome played alongside Dustin Hoffman , Nicole Kidman , Bruce Willis and Stanley Tucci . Directed by Woody Allen , he appeared in the comedies Husbands and Wives (1992), Everyone Say: I Love You (1996), Harry Beside Himself (1997) and Celebrity (1998). In the drama Teurer als Rubine (1998) he was seen alongside Renée Zellweger ; in the comedy Mixing Nia (1998) he played one of the larger roles alongside Isaiah Washington . In the comedy Affair in New York (2001) he appeared on the side of Edward Burns , Rosario Dawson and Heather Graham .
