Tina Bachmann (born August 1, 1978 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a former German national hockey player . Then she became a trainer and led the men's team from Uhlenhorst Mülheim to the German championship in indoor hockey .

Life

Bachmann, whose father Hans-Gerd Bachmann was also a national player , began playing hockey at HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim in 1984 and was appointed to the U16 national team at the age of thirteen. She played in Mülheim until 1996 and then moved to Club Raffelberg in Duisburg, where she trained the C boys, among other things. Since 2004 Tina Bachmann played for Eintracht Braunschweig in the field hockey Bundesliga and then for Oranje Zwart Eindhoven, where she was also three times Dutch champion as a youth coach. She has been under contract with Were Di Tilburg in the second Dutch division since 2014.

Bachmann's positions are midfield and central defense. It is particularly known for its wide dangling balls .

Her greatest successes were winning the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , winning the European title at the 2007 European field hockey championship in England, the 2013 European field hockey championship in Belgium and first place in the 2006 Champions Trophy in Amstelveen . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , Bachmann reached fourth place in the German women's hockey team. In total, she appeared in 214 international matches.

At the 2002 Women's Field Hockey World Championship , she suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament , which was the second in her career.

Tina Bachmann is a qualified primary and secondary school teacher and is employed by the State Sports Association. Furthermore, she has the A coaching license of the German Hockey Association .

Tina Bachmann has been training the first men's hockey team for Bundesliga club HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim since July 2014. There she succeeded André Henning, who led the Mülheimers to the first German indoor hockey championship title in more than 20 years in 2014, but resigned from the coaching position for professional reasons.

In 2016 she was the first woman to lead a men's team to a German championship when Uhlenhorst won the title in the hall.
