Welter started playing handball at HC Bascharage in 1997 and went through all youth teams. She played with the club in 2008/09 in the EHF Cup . After that season, the club finally relocated to Germany (as Roude Léiw Bascharage from Trier ) and was grouped in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar , where the Luxembourg predecessor had previously played for three years with a team not eligible for promotion. However, the chance to continue playing in the European Cup was lost . In the first season, promotion to the 3rd division was made immediately . And a year later Welter was able to celebrate the championship with the club in this league as well. However, the ascent was waived.
After 16 years in Niederkerschen (Bascharage) , she moved to TV Nellingen in 2013 , where she initially played in the second team. However, she later made her debut for the club in the 2nd Bundesliga . She stayed in this league until 2019 (three years at DJK / MJC Trier and one year at VfL Waiblingen ). In September 2019, Welter followed an offer from Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen , who was looking for a replacement for his injured left winger Iris Guberinić .
