Emergence
Before the album was released, Trainor released three albums that were released without a label, namely Meghan Trainor (2008), I'll Sing with You (2011) and Only 17 (2011). In July 2014, Trainor said the album would be ready in the fall. In August of the same year the record was actually already finished, but Trainor told USA Today that a song that was written within 8 minutes had to be recorded on the same day. On August 30, 2014, Trainor told Jim Sullivan of the Cape Cod Times that Title would be released in November or December 2014. She later said in an interview with Billboard on September 21st that there was only one song missing from the album that she had yet to complete. In October 2014, Trainor took a two-month break. The album was finally released worldwide on January 9th, 2015.
