Titular diocese of Birtha

Birtha ( Italian : Birta ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to a submerged bishopric in the ancient city of the same name (today Birecik ) in the Roman province of Mesopotamia or in late antiquity Osrhoene in Turkey . The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Edessa .
