With Hartford, the left shooter won the Calder Cup in the 1999/00 season . In the 2000/01 season he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the New York Rangers, where he scored a total of five scorer points, including one goal, in 43 games in his rookie year .

On December 12, 2002, Klouček was given to the Nashville Predators , for whom he played for almost a year before he was transferred to the Atlanta Thrashers, in exchange for Mike Dunham , Klouček together with Rem Murray and Marek Židlický . With the Thrashers he was on the ice in 37 games in the NHL by the end of the 2003/04 season . The Czech bridged the lockout during the 2004/05 NHL season in his homeland, where he played for his ex-club HC Slavia Prague, HC Oceláři Třinec and Bílí Tygři Liberec in the Extraliga . After resumption of play in the NHL, he returned to Atlanta, where he was only used one more time in the NHL. Due to an ankle injury, he only played in 33 games for their AHL farm team, the Chicago Wolves .

On July 6, 2006, Klouček received a contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets as a free agent , but only played for their AHL farm team Syracuse Crunch in the following season , so he returned to the Czech Republic, where he worked for the 2007/08 season HC Zlín was active. Following the season he was signed by Barys Astana from the newly formed Continental Hockey League , for which he played until 2011. In July 2011 he moved to HC Lev Poprad within the KHL . He prepared a goal for the team in 20 games before his contract was terminated prematurely in December 2011. In mid-January 2012 he received a contract with HC Oceláři Třinec , for which he was active in the Czech extra league until the end of the 2012/13 season. He was then without a club.
