Tom Pelphrey (born July 28, 1982 in Howell , New Jersey ) is an American actor .

life and career

Tom Pelphrey was born in New Jersey and studied after school at Rutgers University , from which he graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts .

He has been an actor since 2004 and initially took on the role of Jonathan Randall in the soap opera Springfield Story , which he played until 2009. He was also involved in the soap opera Young and Passionate - How Life Works . He won two Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Younger Actor category for his performance in the former series . Pelphrey also took on guest roles in series such as Numbers - The Logic of Crime , Ghost Whisperer - Voices from Beyond , CSI: Miami and Good Wife . In 2015 he took on the role of Kurt Bunker in the series Banshee - Small Town. Big Secrets. that he played until 2016.

From 2017 to 2018 he starred as Ward Meachum in the Netflix series Marvel's Iron Fist . In 2020 he took over the role of Ben Davis with the beginning of the third season of the Netflix original series Ozark .

In addition to his acting roles, Pelphrey also speaks video game characters, for example in Homefront , which appeared in 2011 . He is also active in the theater.

He has been in a relationship with his acting colleague Jaimie Alexander since 2018 .
