Tomasz Jodłowiec (born September 8, 1985 in Żywiec , Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship ) is a Polish football player .
Career
Club career
Jodłowiec began his professional career in 2004 at Widzew Łódź , where he only stayed until the winter break and moved to Stal Głowno in winter . It didn't last long there either and so he moved to LKS Łódź in the summer before being loaned out to Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała for half a year during the winter break . After strong performances, Groclin Grodzisk noticed him and signed him for two years. After the association's merger with Polonia Warsaw in 2008, Jodłowiec remained with the association and so ran for the capital city residents. His contract tied him to the club until December 31, 2012. However, Tomasz Jodłowiec moved to the current Polish champions Śląsk Wrocław for the 2012/13 season , where he signed a two-year contract.
After just under half a year and 15 appearances for Śląsk Wrocław, in which he scored three goals, Jodłowiec moved to league rivals Legia Warsaw in February 2013 , where he signed a three-year contract. During the winter break 2017/18 of the Extraklasa , Jodłowiec was awarded to Piast Gliwice. One and a half years later he signed there firmly.
National team
After the European Championship in 2008, Jodłowiec joined the Polish national team and made his debut in the national jersey when he was nominated for the first time on October 11, 2008 with a brief appearance in the World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic . Jodłowiec played his first game from the start on December 14, 2008 in a friendly against Serbia . In the following years, however, it was only used in friendly matches, also because Poland did not have to qualify for the 2012 European Championship as a co-host . But he wasn't in the squad at the home European championships either.
It was only on October 11, 2014 that he played his second competitive game against Germany in qualifying for the 2016 European Football Championship . He played five more qualifying games and was then for the first time in an EM squad in Poland . He played four times as a substitute in the closing stages and in extra time. Only once, in the last group game against Ukraine, was he on the starting line-up. The team reached the quarter-finals, where they were eliminated on penalties.
