In the second qualifying round, Dyskobolia was able to prevail against the Kazakh team Tobyl Qostanai (1: 0, 2: 0). In the first main round of the 2007/08 UEFA Cup, Dyskobolia faced the top Serbian club Red Star Belgrade and were eliminated (0: 1, 0: 1). On July 11th, 2008 the owner and president of the association, Zbigniew Drzymała sold the association to the owner of Polonia Warsaw . The club from the capital took the place of Dyskobolia in the Ekstraklasa . At the same time a new club called Dyskobolia was founded, which started in the 4th Polish league in the 2008/09 season. The stadium in Ptaszkowo later became the club's home ground. The club initially played a few seasons in the sixth class Klasa okręgowa until it stopped playing in the 2015/16 season.
