Trebanz is a district of Treben in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

location

The Slavic round village Trebanz can be reached via the district road 226. It almost borders on Lehma . To the northwest is the Kammerforst up to the district . The place consists of two spatially separated settlements, on the one hand from the historical place and on the other hand from the settlement around the train station "Treben-Lehma", which extends northeast of the town center towards Treben.

history

The village was first mentioned on September 24, 1269. The place name is derived from "place of the people of a Treban".

Trebanz belonged to the Wettin office of Altenburg , which was under the sovereignty of the following Ernestine duchies from the 16th century due to several divisions during its existence : Duchy of Saxony (1554 to 1572), Duchy of Saxony-Weimar (1572 to 1603), Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg (1603 to 1672), Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg (1672 to 1826). When the Ernestine duchies were reorganized in 1826, the place came back to the duchy of Saxony-Altenburg. After the administrative reform in the duchy, it belonged to the eastern district (until 1900) and to the Altenburg district office (from 1900).

From 1918 Trebanz belonged to the Free State of Saxony-Altenburg , which was added to the State of Thuringia in 1920. In 1922 the village became part of the Altenburg district . Trebanz was incorporated into Lehma on July 1, 1950, which came to Wintersdorf on January 1, 1996 . This was incorporated into Meuselwitz on December 1, 2007. In a referendum, the residents voted for a reclassification to Treben , this happened on December 30, 2008. 120 people lived in the district at that time.
