Trelly is a village and a former French community with 659 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Coutances and the canton of Quettreville-sur-Sienne (until 2015: canton of Montmartin-sur-Mer ).

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Contrières , Guéhébert , Hérenguerville and Trelly were integrated into the Commune nouvelle Quettreville-sur-Sienne , which had existed since 2016, and have the status of a Commune déléguée there . The administrative center is in Quettreville-sur-Sienne.

geography

Trelly is about 30 kilometers southwest of Saint-Lô and south of the Cotentin peninsula . The river Sienne borders the village to the west and the river Vanne to the north. About nine kilometers to the west is the coast of the Gulf of Saint-Malo . Trelly is surrounded by Contrières in the north, Saint-Denis-le-Vêtu in the northeast, Guéhébert in the east, Le Mesnil-Aubert and Cérences in the south and Quettreville-sur-Sienne in the west.
