Cérences is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Quettreville-sur-Sienne in the north and north-west, Le Mesnil-Aubert in the north, Lengronne in the north-east, Ver in the east and south-east, Le Loreur in the south-east, Hudimesnil in the south, Chanteloup in the south and south-west, Bréhal in Southwest, Bricqueville-sur-Mer to the west and Muneville-sur-Mer to the northwest.
