Saint-Ovin is a French commune of 768 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Manche department in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Avranches and the Canton of Pontorson .

It borders in the north-west on La Godefroy , in the north on Tirepied-sur-Sée with La Gohannière , in the north-east on Le Petit-Celland , in the east on Le Mesnil-Ozenne , in the south on Marcilly , in the south-west on Saint-Quentin-sur- le-Homme and to the west at Saint-Loup and Saint-Senier-sous-Avranches .

timeline

Le Mesnil-Ozenne and La Boulouze, previously independent municipalities, were incorporated into Saint-Ovin in 1973. The latter belonged to the canton of Ducey , which no longer exists today, and the rest of the municipality mark to the canton of Avranches . Le Mesnil-Ozenne became its own municipality again in 1985. On the occasion of the reorganization of the French cantons in 2015, Saint-Ovin was added to the canton of Pontorson .
