Le Val-Saint-Père is located near the Atlantic coast at the confluence of the Sée and the Sélune . Le Val-Saint-Père is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marcey-les-Gréves in the north and north-west, Avranches in the north, Saint-Martin-des-Champs in the east, Saint-Quentin-sur-le-Homme in the east and south-east, and Pontaubault in the south, Céaux in the south-west and Vains in the north-west.

The national route 175 runs through the municipality . Avranches Airport is also in the municipality .
