Trevor Jackson (born August 30, 1996 in Indianapolis , Indiana ) is an American actor , singer and dancer . He is best known for his role as Kevin Blake in Eureka and for the role of Kris McDuffy in Let It Shine .

Life

Jackson was born in 1996 in Indianapolis , Indiana and grew up there. At the age of three it was clear to him that he wanted to become an entertainer.

He has mastered the dances from hip-hop and pop to swing and ballet . He also plays drums and guitar as well as basketball and skateboard. He is currently learning the Brazilian martial art Capoeira .

Jackson currently resides in Burbank , California .

Career

He took part in the casting show Showtime at the Apollo in 2006 and got a role in the Broadway musical The Lion King as a young Simba. He played this role until 2008. In 2010 he was in the film Albert! Or, to see My Life in the Ocean and had a guest appearance as Leon in Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten .

He is best known for the supporting role of Kevin Blake in the Syfy television series Eureka - The Secret City , which he held from 2010 until the series ended in 2012. In 2011 he got a role in the pilot for How to Rock , but this was then canceled. This was followed by guest appearances in Harry's Law and Austin & Ally . His fame rose in 2012 when he played the role of Kris McDuffy in the Disney Channel original movie Let It Shine .
