Tritosulfuron is a chemical compound from the group of sulfonylureas , which was introduced by BASF as a herbicide in 2004.

use

Tritosulfuron is used as a systemic post-emergence herbicide in cereal crops. The effect is based on the inhibition of acetolactate synthase . It has weaknesses in its effectiveness against field speedwell , corn poppy , goosefoot , burdock and pansy .

Admission

In a number of EU countries, including Germany and Austria, as well as Switzerland, plant protection products (e.g. biathlon ) with this active ingredient are approved.
