Previous model Triumph Bonneville SE

The Triumph Bonneville Street Twin is an undisguised motorcycle from the English motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles . The Bonneville Street Twin was presented on October 28, 2015 after four years of development. The Street Twin will be final assembly in Chonburi , Thailand and is the successor model of Bonneville SE.

Conception

The basis for the Street Twin is Bonneville SE. The motorcycle is similar to the previous model, but has been given technical innovations. In 2017, based on the Street Twin, two more models in the product range were introduced: the Triumph Street Scrambler and the Triumph Street Cup . In addition to optical changes, these differ from the Street Twin mainly in terms of tires and suspension travel, which results in slightly different handling.

construction

drive

The Street Twin is powered by a 900 cm³, liquid-cooled, transversely installed in-line twin cylinder. The crankshaft has a crank pin offset of 270 degrees. Bore and stroke are 84.6 × 80 mm, the compression is 10.55: 1. The electronic multipoint injection system is controlled by ride-by-wire , which is being used for the first time by Triumph in the Bonneville series. The motorcycle also has traction control and an anti-hopping clutch . The power transmission of the five-speed transmission takes place via a chain drive. In 2018, the series received an engine revision that significantly increased the output from 56 to 65 hp.

Frame and chassis

The motorcycle has a steel loop frame, a 41 mm telescopic fork protected by bellows as standard, and a two-arm swing arm with two spring struts at the rear . A 310 mm single-disc brake system with a floating two-piston brake caliper is installed as the front brake. The rear brake is a 255 mm single-disc brake system with a floating two-piston brake caliper. Both brakes have an ABS as standard .
