The Triumph Tiger 1050 is a travel enduro from the English manufacturer Triumph . The motorcycle was introduced to the German-speaking market at the end of 2006.
technology
It is driven by a liquid-cooled three-cylinder in-line engine with two overhead camshafts that control four valves per cylinder. An electronic manifold injection from the manufacturer Keihin takes care of the mixture preparation . A balancer shaft limits the concept-related vibrations.
The chassis consists of an aluminum bridge frame , a fully adjustable 43 mm upside-down fork and a stiff aluminum two-arm swing arm with upper pull. The central spring strut on the rear suspension is linked by a lever system and can be adjusted using rebound damping and spring preload. The main frame and rocker arm are manufactured using the aluminum die-casting process.
The Tiger 1050 has a powerful brake system with two floating 320 mm brake discs on the front wheel with radially screwed 4-piston fixed calipers from the manufacturer Nissin. An anti-lock braking system is optionally available.

criticism
“The big cat is completely out of place in off-road use. Your chassis whines loudly for mercy on gravel roads. So let's leave your 115 HP off the leash in the winding bends of the Falzarego , and this is exactly where your orientation towards a tourist-oriented fun bike emerges. The brilliant 1050 cubic three-cylinder flatters with its seductively powerful character, pushes forwards from 1500 tours in a cultivated and vibration-free way like a turbine and catapults the 228 kilo Tiger from turn to turn.
