Trophée Ron Lapointe

The Trophée Ron Lapointe ( English Ron Lapointe Trophy ) is an ice hockey trophy of the Québec Major Junior Hockey League . It has been awarded annually to the best head coach in the league since 1993. The trophy is named after Ron Lapointe , who was the head coach of the QMJHL teams Montréal Juniors , Québec Remparts and Shawinigan Cataractes . He died of kidney cancer in March 1992 at the age of 42.
