Reviews

Roger Ebert published two film reviews in the Chicago Sun-Times : the first he wrote after watching a few minutes of the film, the second based on the film that had been viewed completely. In the first, the film was compared to a "not very good high school play" and mocked with a range of advice such as mastering body language. In the second review, he described the film as a parable that shows how the world should become more tolerant of homosexuals. Ebert suspected that the film was intended primarily for screenings at gay and lesbian film festivals.

Dennis Harvey wrote in Variety magazine on July 7, 2008 that the film was "an entertaining lesson in tolerance for teenagers . " Some elements are manipulative and clichéd. The representations are good.

Awards

The film won three Breckenridge Festival of Film awards in 2008 , including Najarra Townsend and Stewart Wade. Najarra Townsend won a 2008 Santa Cruz Film Festival award ; the film was nominated for two audience awards at the same festival.
