Jacob Allen "Jake" Abel (born November 18, 1987 in Canton , Ohio ) is an American actor .

Life

He had his first major role in 2005 in the Disney film The Ice Hockey Princess as Spencer . In the same year he had a recurring role in the television series Nemesis - The Attack . He then had several guest roles in series such as Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten and Emergency Room - The emergency room . In October 2008, he received the Rising Star Award at the 16th Hamptons International Film Festival for his work in the film Flash of Genius . In February 2009 he was cast for the role of Adam Milligan on the television series Supernatural . This was followed by roles in the films Percy Jackson - Thieves in Olympus and I'm Number Four . In 2013 he played one of the leading roles in the film Souls alongside Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons .

In November 2013, Abel married his girlfriend Allie Wood in New Orleans , to whom he had been engaged for ten months.
