Controversy with bands

After the band Hopesfall announced their breakup in the spring of 2008, they began to criticize Trustkill Records: “ That is not the reason for our breakup, but we hate Trustkill and the owner. ” In addition, the record company would have songs from the album Magnetic North after it was mixed and mastered , deleted.

In 2007 the band Bleeding Through suggested to the record company to release a reissue of the album The Truth . Trustkill Records refused, but a little later a reissue of the album was released, but with bonus tracks and a bonus DVD that the band supposedly knew nothing about. There was also trouble because Trustkill Records only paid 25% of the production costs for the current album Declaration . The rest would have been paid for by the band's management and the singer's father.

In 2007, Throwdown ended their contract with Trustkill Records, which included the release of three albums, with the release of the album Venom and Tears . Almost a year later, the band felt it was necessary to "reveal secrets from longstanding collaboration with Josh Grabelle"; the label owed Throwdown "tens of thousands of dollars" for "unpaid royalties on CD sold" and had a history of unpaid usage fees. The band also stated that the beginning of the contract with Trustkill was very positive, however numerous issues have changed their minds over the years. In 2006 the band would have had to cancel some performances on the Warped Tour because Trustkill would not have paid the bus driver.

Josh Grabelle denied the allegations and said Throwdown would never have been satisfied with anything. Throwdown hoped Grabelle would get his business in order after they went public.
