Tuffé is a commune Déléguée in the French community Tuffé Val de la Cheronne with 1,506 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Arrondissement Mamers in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Tufféens .
On January 1, 2016, the municipality of Tuffé merged with Saint-Hilaire-le-Lierru to form the new municipality of Tuffé Val de la Chéronne. The municipality of Tuffé belonged to the canton of La Ferté-Bernard (until 2015: canton of Tuffé ).

Tuffé is about 30 kilometers east-northeast of Le Mans .
The municipality of Tuffé was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Denis-des-Coudrais in the north, Boëssé-le-Sec in the east and northeast, Saint-Hilaire-le-Lierru in the east, Vouvray-sur-Huisne in the southeast, Beillé in the south, La Chapelle-Saint-Rémy to the west and Prévelles to the northwest.
The A11 autoroute runs through the south of the former municipality .
