Franz-Neumann-Platz underground station (Am Schäfersee)
The Franz-Neumann-Platz (Am Schäfersee) ( subway station is on the U8 line of the Berlin subway . It was opened on April 27, 1987, together with the Paracelsus-Bad and Residenzstrasse stations under the name Residenzstrasse route .

The station is located in the Reinickendorf district of the district of the same name and is 1060 meters from Osloer Straße underground station and 746 meters from Residenzstraße underground station . In the BVG station directory , it bears the designation FN and is named after the square here , which bears its name after the SPD politician Franz Neumann .
The station has a central platform with an exit each at the two ends of the platform, which lead via escalators into vestibules. The theme of the interior design, which comes from the architect Rainer G. Rümmler , is the Schäfersee , located immediately to the west . Trees and colorful birds are depicted on the walls, the platform is in earth-colored tones. Yellow plastic rails are attached to the central supports that lead to the ceiling, and the elongated strips at the corners are clad in green so that the central supports represent trees.
