The Rotkreuzplatz U-Bahn station of the Munich U-Bahn is located under the square of the same name , which is named after the Rotkreuzkrankenhaus. The train station is in the Neuhausen district .
description
The station opened on May 8, 1983 and was the northern terminus of the U1 until 1998 . In addition, the U7 reinforcement line has also stopped at the underground station since December 12, 2011. It ended there until 2006 and only runs during rush hour. The station is designed in a similar way to the Maillingerstraße and Stiglmaierplatz stations , but has no supports. The back track walls consist of light brown and white slats that are getting thicker and thinner. At Rotkreuzplatz, ocher-colored metal sheets were retrofitted under the wall cladding of the back track walls in 2008. Similar to the other train stations, the ceiling is made of aluminum slats and the floor is made of artificial stone slabs in the Isar pebble motif. However, the ceiling above the tracks is made of concrete that was painted dark and thus removed from view. A kiosk and a flower shop are located in the comparatively spacious, southeastern mezzanine. At the surface there is a transfer to tram line 12 .
