The underground station Georg-Brauchle-Ring is a station of the Munich underground railway under the Hanauer Straße on the border between the districts Moosach and Milbertshofen-Am Hart .
Like the crossing Georg-Brauchle-Ring, the station is named after the former 2nd Mayor of Munich, Georg Brauchle . It was opened on October 18, 2003 and was the end of the U1 until 2004 . The platform has no pillars and is 7.50 meters high. The back track walls are filled with pictures from the area as well as from around the world. B. designed from Berlin or New York. The areas between the pictures consist of colorful rectangles. The spatial structure promoted by the light floor area is continued in the barrier floors. At the junction of Hanauer Straße / Georg-Brauchle-Ring is the southern barrier floor, in which there is a kiosk. At the northern end there is another, much smaller mezzanine floor.
In 2005 the painter Franz Ackermann received the "mfi price art in construction 2005" for his wall design with the title The big journey .
